After all those years at school, when you finally finish it’s exciting – but it can also be a little bit daunting.

That’s where Sunshine can help.

Our Transition to Work (TTW) program will uncover your unique strengths and support you in achieving your personal employment goals.

Transition to work

Our TTW team will work with you to develop a program that’s just for you. This may be a combination of on and off the job training, work sampling and work experience.

There will be opportunities to develop generic work skills such as:

  • Communication in the workplace
  • WH&S regulations and understanding your rights and responsibilities;
  • Skills to help you in the community like travel training and money handling skills

Your program might include assistance to achieve a recognised qualification, put together a resume and move into employment.

Sunshine’s philosophy of person-centredness means that our focus is on supporting you in securing the satisfying work life you deserve.

To be eligible for a TTW program with Sunshine, you must be a NSW school leaver who has completed year 12, has an intellectual disability and has been assessed as eligible by ADHC. Please note, other criteria may apply depending on your individual circumstances.
