Community Access

Do you enjoy spending time with others? Going on outings? Staying active? Having Fun? We’ve got plenty of great ways you can spend your leisure time.

  • Community Participation
    Community Participation is designed for young people with moderate to very high support needs. For participants, our aim is to support you to achieve your unique goals, dreams and aspirations, and to help you increase your sense of independence as a valued and participating member of the community.
  • Day Placements
    Our Day Placements vary from day-to day and include activities, outings and learning and development. Each day’s activities are chosen by you. Staff will support you to make your choices throughout the day.
    Along the way, you’ll meet others and have the chance to make new friends. Sunshine has Day Placements operating in Pymble, St Ives, Frenchs Forest, Beaumont Hills and Parklea.
  • Active Ageing
    Stay active and stay healthy! You’ll be supported to take part in designing your own plan consultation with family members and or other significant people in your life. Active Ageing Placements are available in the Beaumont Hills, Frenchs Forest, Pymble, St. Ives, and Hawkesbury areas.
  • Life Choices
    Sunshine supports you in taking part in activities you enjoy. It also gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and increase your independence, and meet and mix with people who share your interests. You can choose activities that match your interests and needs, and they can be changed over time.
  • Seniors Service
    This service caters for frail aged clients who have moderate to high support needs, and who may also experience physical disabilities and health issues associated with ageing and dementia.
    Age appropriate activities, outings and skills development sessions are offered by staff members who are experienced in dealing specifically with age-related psychological, emotional and health issues. All programs incorporate recreational and community access activities.
